The fast-rising multi-hyphenate talent peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Producers list this past May as he produced over half the tracks on Future’s record-breaking I Never Liked You album. This award comes after a very successful summer. To commemorate his win, Jacob hosted a private dinner ceremony in Miami. The nomination comes on the heels of the BMI R&B Hip-Hop Awards in which Jacob took home the Top Producer Award alongside Kanye West, Charlie Handsome, Rogét Chahayed, Isaac “Zac” De Boni, and Michael “Finatik” Mulé. “The star studded ceremony hosted by BMI president & CEO Mike O’Neill and BMI vice president, creative (Atlanta) Catherine Brewton saluted songwriters, producers and music publishers of the past year’s 35 most-performed R&B/hip-hop songs in the U.S. He’s certainly made it clear that his versatile talents are in no way limited to just music.Earlier this week the BET Hip Hop Award Nominees were announced, with legendary Atlanta producer and artist ATL Jacob, up for the Producer of the Year award alongside Baby Keem, Hit-Boy, Hitmaka, Kanye West, Metro Boomin, Pharell Williams. During a May 25th game between the Braves and Phillies, Big Boi got to step into the announcing booth to help call the game. It’s another new medium the rapper is stepping into after trying his hand at baseball announcing last month. While Big Boi has made a number of appearances on a variety of shows this will be the rapper’s first time stepping into host duties. The show is set to premiere on Hulu on July 21st. “From trailers and campers to sprinters and school buses if it has wheels, Big Boi and Janice are ready to make their clients’ vehicle renovation dreams come true.” The show follows them as they take on extravagant requests from clients. Together they own Celebrity Trailers a company that aims to expand upon the luxury of larger vehicles. The show, titled Big RV Remix will be hosted by Big Boi and business partner Janice Faison. Outkast legend Big Boi is about to take the reins on a new Pimp My Ride style Hulu series. They were telling everybody but nobody believed them. “When I was in high school, I never bragged about hanging with Future,” he went on. After the chance meeting, he would become the in-house producer for Freebandz and produced seven tracks on The WIZRD in 2019. “Just growing up knowing those techniques from band, I use that same theory today.”“Besides piano, I play some trumpet, a little trombone alto sax, clarinet, marimba, and xylophone,” he added.” The whole percussion section: bass drum, timpani, quads, and drums,”Īfter selling tracks for $90 a piece, ATL Jacob’s production eventually was discovered by Freebandz CEO Casino who would introduce him to Future and the rest is history.

As a multi-instrumentalist, the lessons he learned as a band member would be instrumental as developed his production style. Over the last few years, you’ve heard his ATL Jacob production tag on hits such as Future’s “Wait for U,” Kodak Black’s “Super Gremlin,” and Lil Baby’s “Right On.”As a teenager, he first displayed his aptitude for music as a member of his high school band. He was also named “Top Producer” by BMI in 2021 and was nominated “Producer of the Year” at the BET Hip-Hop Awards this year.
The Atlanta native has crafted his own unique sound that has caused him to stand out among a crowded field of beatmakers.
